When it's dark and gloomy, we can get down, easily. But what we forget is what's on the other side.

We all have those days.

Clouds as far as the eyes can see, from our driveways to the horizon.

Gloominess in various shades of grey.

Sometimes we can’t help but stare, wondering if they are going to open wide and dump whatever they’ve been holding in...all over us.

Sadly, too many people suddenly shift into solar-power mode and don’t get much done.

Wowzers, you’d get nothing done!

I get it, it can be a downer when it’s cloudy.

It can get depressing when things aren’t going well.

It can be damaging to us when that’s all we focus on.

What many of us (and yes, I’ve done it too) forget, is that the clouds are not actually that far away from us, like a dome of gloom.

Just beyond them are about 93 million miles of sunshine.

That’s a lot of bright space!

What reminds me of this awesomeness, on the cloudiest of days, are the tiniest slivers of light blaze on through, like a happy laser streaming down to give us hope.
