With so much bad news happening out there, it can be so easy for many people to say "The world has gone to hell" or that there is no good left in the world.
Not true.
While it may seem that the only things happening out there are bad, that is simply what the news networks choose to populate their broadcasts with. True, there are bad people out there...but there are also many good people.
Sadly, those people do not get enough attention.
Between three recent devastating hurricanes (Harvey, Irma and Maria, crashing through Houston, Florida and Puerto Rico), the NFL National Anthem protests and now a deadly massacre in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel during a Jason Aldean concert, it can often seem like the evil people are winning.
However, in the midst of all of these situations, good people are rising up as heroes. Regular, everyday people are stepping up to help total strangers and neighbors alike.
These people are just as real as those committing the bad acts.
In the case of Las Vegas, there were people who covered others with their own bodies, virtually becoming human shields.
Others loaded their own vehicles with the wounded and raced them to the hospital.
Just hours later, there were lines several blocks long of people who showed up to donate blood to help the survivors.
