A really cool and "healthy" Christmas gift to make!  

Chemical Free! Paraben FREE! 

This one is a Vanilla Orange Sugar Scrub....smells good enough to eat....but you can't eat them because there are essential oils in them! (There are food grade essential oils but use those only under the care of your holistic specialist)

This recipes makes enough for 4 half pint mason jars.

Ingredients:

2 Cups of white sugar

1 Cup packed dark brown sugar

2/3 Cups of NOW® grape seed oil

(NOW Grape seed Oil is a light, odorless and 100% natural oil derived from Italian grape seeds.

Its emollient properties impart a silky luster that soothes. NOW Grape seed Oil is suitable for all skin types and has a mild astringent properties that prevent it from clogging pores or causing breakouts).   -- you can use any carrier oil though.

Examples of carrier oil: Almond, jojoba, avocado, apricot, and argan oil.

1/2 Teaspoon NOW® Vegetable Glycerine

(Pure Vegetable Glycerine is an outstanding moisturizer and skin cleanser that also provides softening and lubricating benefits.

It's hypoallergenic and easily soluble in water, making it suitable for use in all of your favorite cosmetic applications.

100% Pure Vegetable Glycerine has a long shelf life and does not easily oxidize. It is an all-natural product derived from Non-GMO palm oil or vegetable oil).

1 Teaspoon pure vanilla extract (can use NOW® vanilla essential oil as well)

1 Teaspoon NOW® orange essential oil

Ingredients:

Combine 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup packed brown sugar and mix until they are well blended.

Add grape seed oil, vegetable glycerin and essential oils, and mix thoroughly.

Add your second cup of white sugar and mix until the mixture looks evenly granular.

Scoop into your mason jars.

Decorate

Enjoy!

PS: Instead of vanilla and orange if you don't like those smells.... you can add the same amount of essential oils in any other scent that you like.....I also made one with sandalwood and patchouli. Be creative! Experiment with scents!
