How Dusty is Your Dashboard? - by Steve Gamlin
Are you like me? Do you climb into your car each day with the intention of finding joy in your journey...only to sigh when you notice your still-dusty dashboard?
For me, it is a reminder that I have let another day slip away without ridding myself of the dust from the previous day, week, month, year.
Heck, I am nearing the end of 5+ years of car payments. The brakes have been replaced. I've been through several sets of Summer/Winter tires.
Judging by my dashboard, I might still have the original dust.
So, what do we do?
Sometimes, when we're not taking enough action, we let little crap like this pile up on us.
Yesterday I decided I'd had enough.
This dusty reminder of my lack of action was removed with 2 paper towels and several shots of Armor All.
It took less than 3 minutes.
I checked my day planner.
I could have accommodated that 3 minutes on pretty much any given day since I bought the car.
Knowing we should do something, and actually doing it, are far-too-often worlds apart.
It's pretty laughable when we realize how simple life's little problems can be to solve, before they become big enough to take us down.
What 'little thing' has been gathering layers and stealing your thunder?
What can you do today, with a simple action (even a text, e-mail or phone call) to make it go away?
How dusty is YOUR dashboard?
