Q. Why is my program eight-weeks long?
A. Because most people who exercise typically peak at or around the 8th week.
Q. Why does my new updated program start off with lighter weights again?
A. Following your last program your body's nervous system has been taxed via the 8-week cycle. The lighter weights lets your body's nervous system recover to allow for greater gains in the current workout program.
Q. Can I do all my weight training workouts without a day off?
A. Weight training on consecutive days does not allow your body's hormonal system to do its job at rebuilding muscle tissue. The highest elevation of anabolic hormones (tissue building) occur immediately following high intensity short rest interval exercise. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15831061
On your non-weight training days it may be optimal for you to perform cardio or core exercises. This will give your previously trained musculature time to recover and prepare for the next high intensity bout.
Q. My coach said my EZCOACH program is based upon the "overload principle" what does that mean?
A. The overload principle states that your muscles must be consistently challenged from one workout bout to the next (progressed). The biggest reason why people who embark on a training program and are not getting results is that their workouts do not employ this scientific principle.
