Becoming healthy is not easy.
This is why America is in the state it's in.
Obesity is an epidemic in this country.
There are more obese US adults than those who are just overweight.
According to a study in The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the obesity rate among adult Americans was estimated
at 32.2% for men and 35.5% for women; these rates were roughly confirmed by the CDC.
If a person's body-weight is at least 20% higher than it should be, he or she is considered obese.
The health effects of overweight & obesity
People who have obesity, compared to those with a normal or healthy weight, are at increased risk for many serious diseases and health conditions, including the following:
Regular physical activity is important for good health, and it's especially important if you're trying to lose weight or to maintain a healthy weight.
There is absolutely no substitute for a daily program of healthy activity and a diet consisting of nutritious foods.
If you truly want to live a long and prosperous life then you must be willing to do the work it takes to get it.
It takes time - planning - and dedication.
You will see many advertisements for treadmills, stair-climbers, and various other gimmicks claiming "Maximize your workout and burn over 1,000 calories per hour!".
This statement is technically true.
You can burn 1,000 calories per hour doing those things — if you hike up your treadmill machine to the highest level possible and if you have bionic man legs to keep up with that pace.
However, if you're a beginner and de-conditioned to exercising, you'll last about 30 seconds at that pace and would have burned 8 calories.
Also the paramedics would be scrapping you off the floor and hauling your wilted body away on a stretcher...there are better ways to burn calories without injuring or killing yourself.
Combine a circuit strength training program with cardio every other day - takes about 35-40 minutes.
Combine that with proper food choices, a high quality supplement such as a brand like NOW and adequate amounts of sleep and the fat will melt away.
