The most harmful misconception is that more is better, especially when it comes to cardio.
Spending long periods of time doing cardio, particularly continuous, low-intensity cardio, can actually be counterproductive.
Grab some weights instead! More bang for your buck! At Integrity we teach you to work smart, not hard!
OH! and one more thing...ladies...you like those tone arms? Grab the weights!
I PROMISE you will NOT get big and bulky... :)
A lot of people think that if you starve yourself and do two or three hours of cardio each day, the fat is just going to melt off.
Actually, performing too much cardio will put your body in a catabolic state and burn hard-earned muscle.
We want to keep the muscles and burn the fat!
Don't get me wrong SOME cardio is great for your cardiovascular system -- providing you aren't pounding
the treadmill at the same speed for hours!
Ask your health coach to measure your body composition and see where your Fat/Muscle ratio is at.
